Registered business

Desktop Havenfield Co. is the official registered business name operating this practice. We are registered in South Korea and conduct all allocation audits and documentation work from our office in Daegu.

Established 2019

Desktop Havenfield began in 2019 when founder Hyun-woo Park noticed a recurring problem among local holders: years of accumulating hardware wallets had produced scattered paper notes, but no single document paired live balances with seed phrase indices. After helping three acquaintances reconcile their cold storage on handwritten sheets, he formalised the side-by-side allocation format and opened a small office in Dong-gu, Daegu.

By 2021, demand from family offices and expatriate holders in South Korea led us to expand from Bitcoin-only documentation to multi-chain audits covering Ethereum, Solana, and layer-two networks. We deliberately remain a documentation practice—not a trading desk, custody service, or software vendor. Our only product is the printed allocation sheet and the knowledge to maintain it.

Our approach

We work entirely offline during audits. Your devices never connect to our networks. Balances come from exports you sign on-site or records you prepared beforehand. We read your paper backups only to index derivation paths and seed labels—never to copy seed phrases into digital systems.

Every sheet uses the same two-column structure: on-chain or export-verified balances on the left, your offline backup index on the right. Discrepancies are noted plainly without speculation about causes.

Team

  • Hyun-woo Park — Founder. Former bank operations analyst. Specialises in Bitcoin and Ethereum address structures.
  • Eun-ji Choi — Documentation lead. Designs allocation templates and runs workshop sessions.
  • James Okonkwo — Multi-chain reconciliation. Covers Solana, Cosmos-family, and EVM layer-two networks.

Values

Accuracy over speed. Plain language over jargon. Physical documents over cloud storage. We believe cold storage holders deserve a paper trail that matches their security model—not a dashboard that requires an internet connection to interpret.

Community

We contribute allocation sheet templates to local holder meetups in Daegu and Busan. Workshop proceeds support open-source hardware wallet documentation projects.
